Shared Light is an exploration of sensitivity and an experimentation with applied texture created by a palette knife and modelling paste. This painting highlights the softness and vulnerability that can exist within queer relationships, particularly among women. Despite reading being a rather mundane activity, there is a connection between the two women that can be felt through the canvas. Intimate moments such as these are shared between people so frequently, yet can be easily looked over. This piece highlights the beauty and vulnerability within this and truly brings the emotion to life.
